Dear Friends,

It was really heart warming to see all of you at the reunion. For those of you who made a special trip to come to LA to attend, we're truly grateful and I'm sure it was worth your trip. Next time, we'll start the reunion in the morning so that we can have plenty of time to catch up with old time memories. For those of you who have to drive a couple hours to get home, I hope the traffic was light at 3 am in the morning and you all got home safely. I hope that Frank and Tina Hung and Yang Pei Wen all had a good flight home. Tina, I hope you're feeling better and your cough is going away. Feng Yen Ping, next time we'll have to visit your talking African Parrot.

Yen Wen Chin is compiling the updated alumni contact list and I'm working on the pictures we took ( don't worry ladies, I'll make sure that all the wrinkles are erased before the pictures are released !!!) and will be sent to all of you shortly.

Thanks to Wang Yi-Hsuan and her husband who brought so many precious childhood pictures and memories to share with all of us and to fill in the role as our special photographer. It was exciting to recall the field trips we took, the morning exercise, the floor mopping contest, and many more.

I was a memorable experience and we're looking forward to the next time we meet again. Your input and suggestions are very much welcomed.

Letter from Eugene Ku

How are you? I am 邱惠章. Do you still remember me? I had a great dinner last night in Pasadena with 蕭大麒, 李如鈺, 黃婉 (and her husband), 潘良佐, 李燕伯, 魏廷益, (and his wife 何艾蒂), 嚴文清, and 邢心如. I did not bring a camera with me but 邢心如 did. I am sure she will email you the pictures. At the dinner, 嚴文清 gave me DHSU website. It is a great one, giving me a chance to see images of some of my old friends' such as you, 江台安, 胡傳錚, 沈湧金, 李運明, 陳重維, 簡國藩and 毛忠民 and reminisce the good old days. Please say hi for me next time when you see them. I am doing well. I got married in 1983. My wife's name is Bessie (朱慧中). We met at 政大 when we were trying to get an accounting degree. After I had served my military duty at 東引島, we went to Texas together to get a graduate degree. We attended the same university again at Texas Tech University; however, this time, we got different degrees. She got MIS and I got an MS degree with concentration in taxation. After graduation, we landed jobs in Houston. We lived in Houston for six years and had two kids, Kevin and Amanda. We moved back to Taiwan in 1991 for a brief period and then relocated to Los Angeles in 1993. This is the story of my life. Attached is a picture we took in Hawaii. I cannot wait to hear stories of all of you! I may be visiting Taipei in September. Hopefully, I can meet all of you.

Letter from Eugene Ku

It's a miracle. I finally re-connected with Pan Liang Tzuo tonight. I don't know if you all remember him. He and I were neighbors and we were friends even before kindergarten. He is in Arcadia, CA (Los Angeles) now. His phone number is 626-445-4387. I am so excited and can't wait to share with you. This all happened during the last 24 hours. I was at a friend's house last night when we were reminiscing the old days. I then mentioned that we had this wonderful web site set up by our elementary school classmate. Through this site I was able to contact some of my long lost friends. I also said the one classmate that I missed the most but failed to find was Pan Liang Tzuo and I heard from someone that he had become a priest. My friend suddenly said that this name sounded really familiar and went to his church's web site to search for it. And there was his name posting up there. Pan visited and gave lectures at my wife's church just last week. What a shame we missed each other. Finally I got his phone number this evening and called him immediately. I was so happy to hear him for the first time in more than 30 years. We talked for a few minutes but there are just too much to talk about and I can't wait to meet him next time when I visit LA.

新春愉快, 今天的大華同學聚會, 雖然只有很短的聯絡時間, 但還是有14位同學在如此冷的氣候中趕來參加. 可見大家的感情深厚. 主客是由澳洲回來的施克莊, 另外是陳玫由高雄北上,
還有張貞婉, 顧瑪莉與盧克強.
餐廳的時間總是不夠, 因此謝謝蘇美智能請我們去她家中繼續聊天.
